My Friday

Stayed up until 1 am last night with a good book...mine! I was trying to sleep, but suddenly realized a way to fix a problem with the start of the next chapter, so I ended up writing a whole chapter.

...which made getting up 4 and a half hours later a real pain, lemme tell you.

Then, school. Ah. Wow. I remember sitting down for lunch...everything else was running from kid to kid, helping to tweak essays, fix grammar, and suggest new topic sentences.

After school, the microwave died, so I jumped in the car with the husband for a three-hour round of microwave hunting!

In short, I'm drained.

But you know, I think I might have an idea to start that next chapter...

:) Are you a night writer like me?! Even with a full time day job, I end up staying awake till crazy hours writing. I just can't seem to get in the right frame of mind before 9 pm. Maybe it's because there are too many distractions....but I did the same thing when I lived alone, so who really knows....

Pen Pen, Absolutely! I think so much better at night. Before I had a job, I always worked at night--whether I lived with someone or not--I've always been a night person...

Christina: Yup! Very excited :)

Corey: Oh, yeah!

Justus: Haha!

Beth. I'm a night person too. my brain just seems to clear late. I'm definitely not one of those perky morning people. That was one of the hardest things for me when I was teaching. It started so early!! :) And I had to be coherent.

Whew! I'm glad I wasn't the only one up until ungodly hours writing last night. I even had to drag the bed-side notebook out three or four times after I had crawled into bed, thinking I was done for the night. I know, I know... I should've known better...

Hope you catch up on some much needed sleep this weekend!

Hope you catch extra zzz's tonight.

I work best in the early a.m. but I've thought about trying that late night thing.

Oh, hope you found a good microwave! Can't live without them!
