Whew!

I was worried. I wasn't really finding time to write, and even though I had a project to start working on, I wasn't really in the flow, if you know what I mean. I wrote words to write words, but they weren't good words, they were forced.

Well, today I wrote a chapter and a half.

And all it took was two days off work...and a chance to not focus on everything else, but have a moment to myself!

Wonderful! Congratulations!

I'm happy too. I got to the end of a short story that I thought I'd never find any closure for. It's just a first draft, but at least now I feel like it is complete and I can start to revise.

Go team!

Yay! Thanks Davin--and isn't that a wonderful feeling, when you can get the bones on the table?

Yea, Beth! That's great. It's nice to have down time. Sometimes that's all it takes to get the creative juices flowing.

Hey, I hope you don't mind, but I posted a link to your interview with me on Facebook. :)

Writing seems to come in spurts for me as well. Congrats on moving forward!

WOOHOO! I am up to three chapters now! They're short chapters, but...they're there!!!

Lois, you're so right...a little down time is essential!!

Becky, thanks for posting that!

Glam, I always do spurts, but it feels like the well has been dry for awhile. This is exciting!

Robyn--haha, get ready! I'm up to three chapters!!! :)

It's amazing what a lack of distraction can do! Congratulations on your chapter(s). There is nothing like beginning that road with new characters!

Sometime it is the best we can do.

Thanks writermom! You're right-it's exhilarating!

Justus--so true--and it's better than nothing, but I'm glad I've hit something of a stride this go around.

Yeah! Is this for a new book? It's always so hard to find the time.
