Can you loan me $200,000?

Because I want to go to space.

Have you heard about this? Virgin Air has gone Galactic--and is building a commercial spaceship.

I've been researching spaceships recently (for obvious reasons), and came across this. Virgin Galactic isn't live yet--but you can reserve your spot for a mere $200 grand.

Sound crazy? I don't think so--this is definitely the future. Check out this simulation of what a ride to space will be like:

OK, so c'mon, tell me: if you had a spare $200,000 just laying around, would you go up?

This is so cool! :D I wish I had the money for that!

I should be able to get you that money soon. I have some money coming from a Nigerian prince. Any day now.

Would I go? I'd have to find out more about it. I'm such a wimp.

Hell yeah I'd go!

I heard about this a few years ago, I think when Branson was looking for investors. I don't know, 200 grand doesn't sound that outrageous. When you look at the price of a house here in California...oooo, could I take out a second mortgage for my flight into space? :)

Oh wow. That's so, so cool! I'd love to go (that is, if I had 200 grand just conveniently there in my bank account) -- but that'd probably depend on the length of the trip (measured in Earth's days... or years) and its safety, because I'm such a worry-wort.

To be closer to the moon...absolutely!! So cool. If I had real money, I'd take a ton of friends and we'd have a star vacation. ";-)

Cool ride!

But sorry, I don't carry that kind of cash on me, so nope, can't loan you any.

My dad always said this would happen, and he would have gone in a heartbeat. Me? I'm waiting until we can visit other worlds, which means probably not in my lifetime.

Very cool. I'd love to go to space, but I get motion sick so freaking easy, I don't think I could handle it, not unless they create some really great drugs. ;-)

I'd do it in a heartbeat. If I had the money I wouldn't think twice.

YES!!!

I'm sure it's a pretty quick trip, since the physical requirements don't seem to be too rigorous. You'd remember it for the rest of your life.

I would definitely go! Oh, my gosh the view from up there would be incredible. I'd take the old camera too. You know I would.

I'd go!

Nope! Not until I was positive they would all go up and stay up. I'm a bit of a chicken about such things! :-)

If I had it lying around, then yes, I definitely would go up. But there would be a lot of other things on the list first. Hope you get your research done.

definitely - but where do I get 200K USD without doing something illegal. Come to think of it, the first lot of space-tourists will probably be the very rich, politicians and successful criminals. I think, I'll wait for the prices to go down. ;-)

I would love to go up, but that's the value of a four-room, two bathroom house in my country. With a swimming pool...

If I had it to spare, I'd be there!
