And now for something completely different*

*Please, someone, get title :)

So, you know that scene in Monty Python and the Holy Grail when the lady from Castle Anthrax just keeps going on, and everyone in the whole freaking movies screams GET ON WITH IT!!!

Yeah, Fly by Night is like that.

Which kinda sucks, because I was looking forward to reading it.

But you know the joy of this? It proves people like different things. (I haven't read it). And proves that finding the right editor/agent really matters.
I've read a bunch of these lately. Which makes reading the ones I love even better.

Absolutely true! There are some books that, even as I read them, I can think consciously to myself: I hate this book, but it's obvious why others like it.

And as I'm waiting for this book to just move, it is nice to be aware of the good writing, as well as what makes it not work...which does remind of the books that have both good writing and all those specific-to-me good ingredients :)

I had the same reaction to this book. :) I was hoping you'd share your thoughts after you finished reading it. :)

It had some really compelling moments, but just went on waaay too long.
