Simple Rules of Grammar
This is a compilation of my simple rules for grammar. So many people asked for them linked in one spot that I thought I'd do it here.
Part 1: Definitions
Part 2: IC/DC
Part 3: Prepositions
Part 4: Exceptions
Part 5: Proof in the Pudding

Thank you for your excellent posts on grammar. I found them especially useful!
I have posted about them on my new blog here: http://lauraanndunks.yolasite.com/blog/the-importance-of-grammar
I hope you are well! And life is treating you good.

Thank you for making the difficult to understand clear! You are awesome!
Hello Beth, do you have any advice on how to vary sentence structures? I almost always start my sentence with subject + predicate. Starting with DC or PP doesn't come naturally to me. This makes my writing dull and simple. I read novels and write down sentences I find interesting in structures, but so far they have not rubbed off on my writing.
