In case you missed it on Friday, this is Elana Johnson's launch week! And to celebrate, of course we're giving stuff away!
Leave a comment on this blog post, and you're entered to win a signed copy of POSSESSION. If you aren't sure what to say, you could answer this question: Who or what would you protect most fiercely if the government tagged it to be taken away?
BUT WAIT, THERE IS MORE: We're giving away ANOTHER signed copy of POSSESSION on Twitter! Sometime today (probably, say, between 9:00 and 10:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time) I'm going to traipse on over to Twitter, and I'm going to be looking for people who are using the hashtag: #taggedPOSSESSION. If I happen to see YOU using the hashtag, you might win! And it can't hurt to use the hashtag all day, yanno ;)
Meanwhile...if you're still not sure if you want to check out this book, here's a little video I did on it...
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Don't forget, this is day one of the Elana Johnson POSSESSION Launch Festival of Awesome! Today, go to Beth Revis's site and comment to enter to win a signed copy of POSSESSION and learn the secret time that you need to use the Twitter hashtag #taggedPOSSESSION to win another signed copy of POSSESSION!
Meanwhile, don't forget: if you spread the word about POSSESSION, you can win one of FIVE signed copies of the book!
We're giving away 15 signed copies of POSSESSION throughout this week's blog tour--be sure to visit and enter to win! Tomorrow's giveaway will be hosted at Lisa and Laura Roecker's blog!
If pizza was tagged or banned...I might have to fight some people!
ReplyDeleteI would fight most fiercely to protect any member of my family, or my gorgeous dog, Finn. He makes me smile everyday, I'd be lost without him!
ReplyDeleteBaggins
bookishbaggins(at)gmail(dot)com
That's a tough question. I'd have to follow the food route with Jeremy and say HONEY. I am totally adicted to honey. =)
ReplyDeletekprwrite at hotmail dot com.
Other than the people I love, I'd have to say I'd seriously throw down if the government took books away.
ReplyDeleteThat and chocolate...and coffee. I do love my food.
Any books that challenge the norm.
ReplyDeleteMinionsRead@gmail.com
Of course trying to take away my family would bring out my inner fighter. Nobody messes with my baby!
ReplyDeleteBut any attempt to take away my laptop would make me mightily grumpy too.
If that took away music, the world be would be a much sadder place. You know what they say: words can only go so far.

Who or what would you protect most fiercely if the government tagged it to be taken away?
ReplyDeleteMY PUPPY! That was literally the first thing that came to my mind. I don't know, electronics, jewelry and such are replaceable. :)
Cary.C.Cummings@Gmail.com
If it could be anything...i'd say probably my books and my dog. Seriously. She is the cutest dang thing you have ever seen!
ReplyDeleteI would also fight pretty hard if they took away my laptop. It's like my life (and no, i am not some sun fearing weirdo).

And email this time ta da!
dawns_il(at) yahoo(dot)com
I really want to read this book. It looks an awful lot like MATCHED, only cooler. Plus, the author is just about the best person ever and I can't thank her enough for writing her book on querying. It's helped me SO much. I'll need to get my hands on a copy of POSSESSION somehow.
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'll be in class all morning, so I used the hashtag #taggedPOSSESSION now. Does that count?
elanor_gamgee [at] yahoo [dot] ca
I´m in love with that cover from minute one. So looking forward to reading it, thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteseesen9[at]gmail[dot]com
If the government tagged books...or music...or the internet...they would have taken away 1/3 of my life.
ReplyDeleteThey can take long term projects though.
chloesumner1317 @ gmail . com
Hooray for Elana!! I hope she blows release week out of the water. =o)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway, and congrats to Elana!!! As far as people go, there's my friends that I'd want to protect. For objects, my books. :)
ReplyDeletesusanna DOT pyatt AT student DOT rcsnc DOT org
Definitely my family! Don't know how I would survive without them!
ReplyDeletemichelle at hookedtobooks dot com
My iPhone? That would be a tough one to lose...though my husband would probably side with the authorities to get that one out of my grasp...
ReplyDeleteYay Possession! Happy launch week! Congrats to Elana Johnson.
ReplyDeletelyssad87(at)gmail(dot)com
I am so excited about this book! The cover alone has me drooling :P
ReplyDeleteI would fight for my dogs, and since they are pitt mixes I can see that happening if we moved (or people here turned absolutely crazy). I would fight for my cats too, but I can't imagine anyone wanting to take my cats :)
rebeccaenzor@gmail.com
Well obviously I'd fight to save my family and friends. And my kitty. Also, my book collection & Kindle. And ice cream! We can't let them take away ice cream!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.

I would fight for my husband!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to read Possession. Thanks for the chance to win a copy!
seescootread[at]gmail[dot]com
My daughter! No doubt the government would have a one angry (to put it nicely) mother to contend with if they tagged her.
ReplyDeletecs_gal[at]hotmail[dot]com
Well family and friends is a given, so I'm going to go with religeous freedom. If that was tagged and taken away thay would have a serious problem on their hands. :)
ReplyDeletehauntingorchid(at)aol(dot)com
I would definitely fight the government if they tagged my kids, but I'd also be pretty mad if they tagged my internet time;)
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! You've convinced me! *adds book to To-Be-Bought list*. I haven't read a book with a good ending in a while, so I think I really need this book! It sounds good... and I love the cover!<3
ReplyDeleteAs for your question... I can't talk about the people I'd save, the list would be too long... but if I could save anything, I'd save coffee! (I just read a book where coffee was rare and illegal and it was painful to even read it LOL)
Thank you!
xoxo
Hard one... I'd say my family? I'd fight pretty hard to protect my adorable kitty though--wait, he's family too, so never mind (:
ReplyDeleteI'd fight if they tagged my books or my macbook too.

hikablack(at)gmail(dot)com
My dog Harry and my bed. They will not be taken without a brutal fight.
ReplyDeleteObviously I would fight to protect my daughter. Nothing else matters. Sorry, hubby. :)

Yay POSSESSION! I would definitely fight to protect Geek Husband and Baby Caveman. They are my world. And also my Sophie-cat, though I suspect the little scrapper can handle her own quite well.
ReplyDeleteI would have to say my dog. I would do anything to protect her.
ReplyDeletefindjessyhere at gmail dot com
Oh dear. I would love to have this book. Heard great things.
ReplyDeleteI would fiercely protect my family and friends if they were taken away. I could not live without their love and support.

ReplyDeletemarynellie8 at yahoo dot com
My family, for sure!
ReplyDeleteI'm really liking the cover of Possesion.
Great giveaway! I'm so excited to read this book!
ReplyDeleteladyofnarnia(at)yahoo(dot)com
Beyond family and friends, I am the type of person who would let the thinkers think what they want. If they want to think me brainwashed, okay, but defiance lurks. No one can truly brainwash me unless I let them. Of course, I haven't read the book yet. I think I'll fight for the option to change my mind.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say I would tag to protect anyone I love..family, friends...my boyfriend
ReplyDeleteAmanda
amanda(at)lettersinsideout(dot)com
If my phone or laptop was tagged... well, that wouldn't be so great. No one touches my phone. No one :P
ReplyDeleteThanks for the contest!
Awesome video Beth!!! Such an exciting week in store!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteI'd fight most fiercely for my loved ones. After that, my TV and DVR.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.

well, the government better stay the frex away from my sisters.
ReplyDeleteI might blow up a government attempting to take my coffee. Seriously. ;-)
ReplyDeleteFirst thought goes to my son or other family members. Aside from living people, it would be my books.
ReplyDeleteWho-My children. Nuff said.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Beth! You're awesome. :)
That is not fair Beth - using your video cuteness! But it's for a good cause :)
ReplyDeleteAnd there are too many things I'd want to protect!!
My family would definitely be the one thing I would protect (and my books).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
megan.qualls@gmail.com
Yay for books! I would have to say I would protect my family the most and then the cat. I love that ball of fur.
ReplyDeleteI saw the video on Elana's facebook page. It is so great! What a fabulous week for her!
ReplyDeleteNot including my family, books and my pens and paper. Surely, there would be no end to the suffering if those went away. ;)
ReplyDeleteFirst, I'd have to save my little girl :) If my family was safe, I'd hurt someone if they took my books!!
ReplyDeletetotalbookaholic at hotmail dot com
I'd have to choose my family. I'm counting that as one.
ReplyDeleteIf my family is safe, I'm saving the laptop!

I would fight for the family. Especially my oldest who has autism. I often fight battle for her now.
ReplyDeleteI would be fighting for my daughter first and foremost.. then books and gotta have chocolate! :D
ReplyDeletejanaevw @ gmail . com
I wouldn't allow the government to take away libraries and bookstores. Without the printed word the world will become completely plugged in... and then robots would rebel! O_o
ReplyDeleteI'd fight for justice but since there's really no justice in this world for them to take away then I guess I'd have to settle for fighting for my family :P
ReplyDeleteHmm...obviously if anyone tried to take my kids, I'd go all momma bear on their butts.
ReplyDeleteIf we are talking about objects and not people, I would cry if anyone tried to take away my iPod or laptop. :(
Obviously I would cut a fool if they tagged a family member- and also, possibly cupcakes...and boybands (the good 90's kind, not the current JoBros kind)...and maybe keen shoes (my current footwear obsession)...
ReplyDeleteMy family, of course, along with my cats and dogs :) Also my books, must have books!!!
ReplyDeletejaidahsmommy(at)comcast(dot)net
It would have to be my husband. Even though I'm kind of mad at him right now. THEY CAN'T TAKE AWAY MY ANGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would save my family (that includes my puppy because she is my child) and my laptop and cell because they have most of the books that I read all the time on them oh an my generator so I can charge them...and my favorite foods
ReplyDeleteI would fight for my country (MISR) :)

If coffee were banned, I doubt that many books would get written, so I'd fight for the right to drink coffee.
ReplyDeleteOr freedom to WRITE! Could you imagine not being able to write whatever we want! I think we would ALL go INSANE!
ReplyDeleteGOOD LUCK ELANA ... WE LOVE YOU!
I would fight to protect my family,my books and my pen and paper (I have to be able to write).I don't have to pick just one do I?LOL ;)
ReplyDeleteI would not do well if any of my freedoms were taken away. I would definitely fight for those I love, family, friends, neighbors or anyone being wronged if I was exposed to it.

ReplyDeleteSo excited for Possession! :D
I'm so EXCITED for Elana! I got my pre-ordered copy and DEVOURED it! So good! A signed copy would be amazing. I think I would die if my sister was tagged because we help keep each other sane as the only writers in the family :)
