Winter Wonderland...of DOOOOOM

This is my back yard:

AND IT IS STILL SNOWING.

No word yet on whether or not we're postponing the book signing, but....it's likely. Especially because it's supposed to move to sleet and ice tomorrow....

  1. I think Amy would approve, even though it's WAY inconvenient. Snow seems like something she would miss. ;) Soooo beautiful and magical! Good luck with the event, whether you have to reschedule or not!

  3. Oof! Beautiful but cold. It's chilly and overcast here in south central Texas. Expecting a hard freeze tonight. Think I'll stay indoors.

    Be safe.

  4. My fingers are crossed that you won't have to postpone the launch party! And also, NC should not have that much snow when my part of NH has little more than patches of the white stuff (though the news is saying we're getting a foot Tuesday night).

  5. We've got well over a foot of snow over here about an hour north west of you. Ugh! If we can't meet up with Beth in person tomorrow maybe we should all explore the website and drink hot chocolate at the same time. :-)

  7. Well, frex! I hope you don't have to postpone, but here on Sol-Earth snow and ice can be more than inconvenient. Still, all across the online uni, you're going to shine this week.
(PS. I sent you an email if you have a sec to find it. I'm sure you are snowed under in that way, too)

I hope the event isn't going to be rescheduled too much.

  10. BETH! My book JUST GOT HERE!!! This homeschooler has the rest of the day to read it. I am SOO EXCITED my hands are shaking. :)))))

  11. It doesn't look too impressive in my neck of the woods, but, like you said, it's supposed to get worse. I hate that it may postpone your party :(

If you go out, be very careful!

  12. We've got it down here in MIssissippi, too. And, it's going to stay super-cold for days (which means ice on the roads and Southerners who can't handle it).

Ugh--so not fair to have to postpone your signing!!!

  13. The world is not allowed to snow on your party, girl! Just jet out to ABQ, where it's only snowing in the mountains. ;)

Can't wait to pick up my copy tomorrow. Might even stop by the store today and see if I can convince the bookseller to give me one now (is that allowed with a nice, solid release date like yours??).

  15. I hope you don't have to cancel, Beth. But yeah the weather can rule in cased like this :( I'm just north of Calgary and we've been snowed in, too.

Safe trip if you do go and have fun!

  17. Beth, you've got a lovely backyard, snow and all. I hope your signing can go on -- but above all, you and your readers stay safe. :)

  18. Bummer about the signing, but wow what a pretty view!

Can't wait to buy the book tomorrow! And am planning on bringing it to my Publishing Industry grad class to show off its fancy dust jacket to the teacher (who for sure thought I was making things up). I guess she's not accustomed to the awesome that is YA. :)

Btw, I'm reading your ARC (we're doing a Tour de Arc with your book, and I"m the third to get it) and I LOVE it so far. Can't wait to run out and buy it!
