You Know You're a Writer When...

...you rush home from a family dinner, wondering if you can teach yourself how to fingerprint and debating how quickly to kill off someone (in your book).

  1. Love it! Or how about if you can't wait to put the kids into bed so you can leap into your imaginary world and get to work!

Or, you are half listening to someone and think, hmm.. that would be a grat line for my story!

  2. Or, at least, that's what you tell the cops. ;-)

  4. LOL :) The husband was driving, so no speeding ticket--but I did have to tell him more than once to hurry up!!!!

    Happy Memorial Day everyone!

  5. I once had an idea come so hard and strong I had my hubby drive so I could write the scene out on the back of a grocery receipt. I totally get you!

  6. Once a friend in a critique group of mine walked into Walmart and her husband called, and she started saying "No, not Dena. I'm gonna kill Leonard! Yes, Leonard. Just watch me, I'm going to do it right when I get home." She got some of the WEIRDEST looks from people, wondering if they should alert the cops or something. She saw them, and busted up laughing. Yep, we writers are a weird breed. You go enjoy that fingerprinting. :)
