Do you have business cards?

What's on 'em (other than the usual suspects)?

Have you found them worthwhile?

Do ya think it'd be worth a $10 investment?

Do tell!

  1. I think they're worthwhile and even did before I had a contract or a book. They help make you feel like an author and they do come in handy from time to time at conferences and book signings. That sort of thing.

  2. yes! I got the from moo.com they are the little mini monster cards and I FRIGGIN love them. They just have my name, phone number, email and web address on them. I hand them out all the time, like even for play groups and stuff. I use them any time I just want to hand someone my info, or even just if I need a piece of paper to write someone a note.

I think I spent 24 on mine plus shipping but they come in this mega cute plastic holder and they fit in the change part of my wallet. If you are feeling crazy you can even design your own based on photos, or they have piles of fun ones to choose from!

  3. I have some that I paid about 7 bucks for. Sadly, I have never found any use for them, so they're actually a hassle to have around. But, even if you end up only using one, I think they're worth having. You can always go to Japan...they're big there!

  5. I only have business cards for my photography business. I've never thought of doing it for my writing. Cool idea, though. :D

  6. I don't have any, and I'm not sure if they would come in handy.

  7. I do have them. They used to be for my editing biz, now it's for writing and speaking. They're just really good to hand out at conferences & things, when you want to keep in touch (or even maybe) with another writer.

  8. Thanks for the advice everyone!

I decided to go ahead and get some. I was at a workshop a couple of weeks ago, and would have liked to have given out a card. I figured it was worth $10 for me to not have to worry about that again. I'll keep some in my "writer" padfolio, where I keep my writing notes, and some in my wallet.

    Thanks for the input everyone!!
