Remember in Harry Potter 5, when Umbridge is giving that speech, and Hermione's the only one who understands the subtleties of it but everyone else kinda goes asleep?
I totally feel that way about Obama's speech.
I'm off to find a transcript so I can read it slowly and carefully and maybe understand. :)
Interesting -- I'm in my office working while history is being made and feel a little guilty about it. I didn't watch the speech. But I do plan to read it later.

ReplyDeleteI feel so conflicted with him as Pres. I don't agree with most of his policies, but I think it is a great step forward for our country to be able to elect a person of color to the highest office in the land.

Lois: I do think it will be interesting to see where our country is going in the next few months and years. The economic downturn has take priority, so I think his true policies are going to be hidden until after that is resolved.
