Oh, wait? It's Friday?!?

Sorry I've not been around lately.

See, I was busy HAVING MY MIND BLOWN.

(Also: critiqueing a friend's mss., writing a killer new first chapter of Book 2--which required writing 9 sucky first chapters that I deleted after, distributing 700 yearbooks to students in school, editing and publishing the school's literary magazine, etc., etc., etc. Also, I feel it's bad form to apologize for not blogging, as blogging is the "fun" thing I do and not technically a part of either job I have, but there you have it.)

  3. I'm so glad you added that last line. I always feel bad that I don't blog more frequently, but you're right; it's an extracurricular fun thing in my writing life. No need to apologize if I'm not the every day blogging type.

Have a wonderful weekend! (Get some R&R)

  4. Love that you referred to blogging as 'fun'. It is our 'hang-out' gig as writers. Enjoy your weekend, Beth.

  5. Whoa, you wrote 10 first chapters! You have been busy, and I'm thrilled to hear now you've got a killer chapter in place. You'll be heading into summer on fire.

  7. ECK! Yearbooks. I know how crazy that can be. One time we got our yearbooks really late because one girls name had been typed incorrectly, and she threw a fit and threatened to sue the school and so they had to tape over the name.
(All right, so she'd been inappropriately dubbed 'Edward Cullen.' So what? :P Our yearbook team was a little... well, okay, they were horrid. *sigh*)
ANYWHO, sounds like a weekend is just what you need!

  8. It's good to keep busy, but I spend waaaaay too much time writing, rewriting, scrapping, and re-rewriting first chapters, too. ;)

  9. You're apologizing? But you only went three days between posts! :) It's great that you've got chapter 1 now.

As for the Edward Cullen yearbook episode, that would fit great in a novel someplace.
